The federal government has dispelled insinuations that President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech yesterday was made from Cuba, a country reputed for topnoch medical capabilities.
Since the outbreak of Covid-19 in the mid-December of last year, up to 59 countries are reportedly receiving medical assistance from Cuba.
While the presidential speech was ongoing, some Nigerians started to speculate on Twitter that the flag behind the President was that of the Republic of Cuba and that he is currently in that country receiving treatment after contracting the virus.
But Bashir Ahmad, the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, took a swipe at them while also clarifying the matter.
